Dr. Adam Smith was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma and has been a Laparoscopic Surgeon for over 13 years. In 2002, Dr. Smith started performing laparoscopic bariatric procedures. Not only is Dr. Adam Smith an experienced LAP-BAND surgeon he is also a successful LAP-BAND patient having lost close to 100 pounds. His unique approach is the Total Care of the LAP-BAND patient. Dr. Smith is a LAP-BAND trainer for Allergan and Covidien and has performed over 2,000 LAP-BAND procedures. Dr. Smith has a special relationship with his bariatric patients as he has walked in their shoes and continues his daily struggle just as they do.
